Another trading week came to a close and it's time to announce results of trade during this period.
For the week of February 20 to February 24 company traders have managed to earn 3.64% net income for Standard Investors and 3.95% for Top-trade investors.

The price of bitcoin has reacheda new all-time high, and by the end of week it reached $1222! We have opened short positions on the BTC/USD in the range of $1180 - $1210, and closed them at $1135. We expect continued growth of BTC, which will be accompanied by increased volatility, and we strongly recommend to set stop orders to minimize your risks.

Ethereum continues its slow growth against USD, and the cost of ETH has already exceeded $13! We believe that this is only the beginning of a protracted pump, and within 3 months Ethereum can grow by at least another 50%, and by the summer its capitalization can reach $2 billion. The reason of growth can be the presentation of the Roadmap for 2017 and new Ethereum blockchain proposal. We continue to make scalping trades on Ethereum, to gradually increase the trading deposit.

This week our favorite again and again is DASH, which follows the typical pattern of pump of large cryptocurrency. DASH has risen to 0.0248 or $30, and we made big sales in the range of 0.0230 BTC - 0.0240 with the purpose of buying them at 0.0175 BTC - 0.0195 BTC. If DASH pump continues, we will sell the remaining coins at 0.0275 BTC - 0.0315 BTC.

Blockchain Potential is ‘Very Promising and Challenging’, Says EU Commission

The European Commission has said that it is actively monitoring blockchain and DLT developments, stating that its almost limitless potential use cases make it both ‘very promising and challenging.’ In a statement published on 7th February by European Commission Vice President Andrus Ansip, he explained to members of the European Parliament that support for the blockchain and DLT was ‘going to increase in the coming months.’ Last year, the European Parliament approved a task force to further study the distributed ledger technology. Jakob von Weizsäcker who drafted the proposal for the task force stated that the establishment of it was to actively monitor the evolution of the technology and to make specific regulations when the need arose.

Over the past trading week Bitcoin showed strong uptrend.
JPY/BTC trading volume went ahead of CNY/BTC and USD/BTC together. At the same time, Japanese banks have invested in the Bitflyer, which is the largest Japanese exchange. Moreover, after 2 months Bitcoin will become the legal payment method in Japan. We have opened long orders at the resistance area of $985, to close at $1070, $1140 and $1250. We also consider the short-term drop to $860, therefore we have set stop-loss orders at the resistance area of $900 - $950.


Ethereum rose by $ 1.5 after the announcement of cooperation between JP Morgan, Bank Santander and BNY Mellon to develop new financial solutions based on the Ethereum. The Huffington Post has published an interview with Vitalik Buterin.
We expect ETH to increase up to $14 - $17 in the nearest 4-6 weeks. We plan to sell the ETH part by part in the resistance area of BTC 0.0137, BTC 0.0149 and BTC 0,0168. If BTC rises above $1100, we will fix ETH to USD, with the aim of re-purchase of BTC in the area of 0,011 - 0,012.

Microsoft (Thailand) has said that 2017 will see five digital technology trends – that includes blockchain tech – driving the country’s digital transformation, pushing organization’s capabilities to the next level.

The five digital technology trends include cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, blockchain and artificial intelligence, according to a report from Bangkok Post.

According to Orapong Thien-Ngern, general manager of Microsoft (Thailand), the country has Asia-Pacific’s second-highest growth rate for Microsoft cloud service adoption. He said this is due to ‘the country’s digital infrastructure readiness and companies driving towards digital transformation.’ When it comes to embracing the technology, Thailand certainly has the means of doing so. A report in December reported that Alex Tapscott, chief executive of Northwest Passage Ventures, a blockchain business consulting firm, said that Thailand should embrace blockchain.

With a nation that has around 40 percent of the population with Internet access through smartphones and 60 percent among the general population Thailand has the potential to channel the disruptive technology like other countries such as London, Singapore and New York.


However, to build on the adoption of cloud-based services, the Bangkok Post reported that Microsoft has teamed up with Advanced Info Service (AIS), a mobile leader, to create an international Internet link connecting Singapore’s Microsoft data center and Thailand’s AIS’s data center. It is hoped that by doing so this will build on the adoption of cloud-based services within the country.
